Our April Meet-Up is on Thursday 24 April and we will be exploring the power of language. Language shapes how we see disability and can include or exclude people. Ableist language harms people, even if it’s not meant to. Words matter!
Join us for our Monthly Meet-Ups, where we explore a different topic each month, share ideas, and build connections. Please RSVP for the sessions you plan to attend. Weβll send you a reminder before each Meet-Up.

Our Meet-Ups are a way for people involved in our Community For Everyone project to learn from each other and discuss strategies for inclusion.
Whether you’re new to Hunter Circles or already involved, our Meet Ups are for local changemakers who:
- are passionate about building an inclusive community
- embrace person-centred thinking and want to grow this locally
- want to share and develop hands on skills for inclusion and community building
- have local connections and networks to share!
Meet our team, chat with others involved and discover how you can be part of building meaningful connections with people with intellectual disability in our community. Let’s come together, exchange ideas and make a difference. Everyone’s welcome, so bring your family and your friends too!
- Find out about our “Community For Everyone” project
- Discuss what it takes to be a Social connector, Circle member or Circle facilitator
- Hear about the free training and support provided
- Meet the team and others involved in the project
Join us to be part of the change you want to see!
